Non-breeder membership
MGA's year runs from 1st July to 30th June. New members joining on or after 1st May each year will enjoy one months free membership.
When you become a member of Miniature Goats Australia Association Inc. you will receive ongoing support from a team of reputable breeders.
If you cannot access the membership application online please contact us.
An MGA Non-Breeder Member is not eligible to vote at an MGA meeting but can attend all general meetings.

Your Application will be forwarded to the MGA Committee for approval. As soon as your application is received you will also be sent a Membership Agreement to accept, sign and return. A Committee member may contact you for further information.
We cannot progress your membership until a signed Membership Agreement has been returned.
When membership is due you will receive an email reminder and reminders will also be posted on our Official MGA Facebook Members Forum and in the MGA Newsletter. Memberships not renewed and paid within 7 days of becoming due will suspend your membership.

You are welcome to enter all Miniature Goats Australia competitions.

Members Only Facebook Page
MGA have a members only facebook page and made the decision to keep it locked to members only so as you feel comfortable to ask questions, tell your stories, add photos and debate topics without the general public watching on.
MGA also have a public Facebook page to post photos, to advertise events and to speak to the public.

Shows, Events, Competitions & Displays
Miniature Goats Australia (MGA) encourages members to display their goats at any opportunity and to join in with official MGA shows. You don't have to show your animals to come to the show. It is a great day to chat and to get to know each other, see other animals and talk about our favourite subject - our goats!.

MGA run competitions at various times and all members are welcome to enter.
4.
Newsletters
Miniature Goats Australia Newsletter 'Newsflash' is a small, informative newsletter available to all members so as to ensure the whole membership is kept up to date with Association news. Newsflash is uploaded to the members facebook page.
5.
Transfers
As a Non-Breeder member you are able to transfer an animal to another person. Miniature Goats Australia allow this so as pet owners can sell their animals if needed and they can be transferred to a new owner. This cannot be done electronically. Paperwork should be sent to the registrar who will process the transfer and forward to the new owner. We allow this to ensure the database can be kept up to date.
6.
Voting Rights
As a non-breeder member you do not have voting rights at MGA meetings but you are very welcome to attend. A non-breeder member cannot hold a committee position however if you would like to be involved there are non Committee tasks you are welcome to be involved in.
